ALN Newsletter November 4 2020

Because of the strong support for the ALN 2020 Asset Leadership Forum – reStructuring America – the ALN has been asked to talk with a Transition Team leader about the value of federal asset leadership and asset management.  Also due to the high level of support for the Forum, there is ample content for People, Sources and Ideas stories to intersperse with news items impacting asset leadership and asset management for many weeks!

People

Dr. Kofi Smith
CEO, Atlanta Airlines Terminal Company

In his Keynote during our Infrastructure Sector program, Dr. Smith said the most important thing about ISO 55001 Certification is how it helps his people succeed. You can watch Dr. Smith’s recorded presentation at this link. An 80-second Infrastructure highlight video focused on specific benefits of ISO 55001 certification can be found at this link

Ideas

Mark Morial, President of the National Urban League

Mr. Morial, former mayor of New Orleans, provided the Keynote for the first in series of ALN initiatives on “Addressing Inequity with Asset Leadership.” The lessons learned from exploring this topic can be applied by any organization to any asset category. A highlight video is at this link and the full recorded program is at this link.
