ALN Newsletter 29 June 2021

This week’s ALN Th@4 on July 1st will feature a chat between Carrie Heishman, who is working on the revision of ISO 55001, and Mike Bordenaro, ALN Director, Communication. As always, see more below in People and register at this link.

This week’s ALN Newsletter is all about webinars. We want you to have good ideas about improving government organizations, and other organizations, as you head into the Holiday weekend (at least in the United States). Please celebrate your country’s success and work toward its continuous improvement – whatever country you live in.

Federal Building Performance Standards

The White House Council on Environmental Quality announced development of building performance standards for the federal government in May 2021. The interagency effort includes the GSA, DOE and EPA, who will establish metrics, targets, and tracking methods. A webinar on issues that can inform the development of the standards will include members from the EPA, DOE, DC Government and others. They will be discussing policy that can influence the standards. The event is today at Noon Eastern. We know this is a last minute notice, but if you register at this link, the sponsor, Resources for the Future, may provide a recording for registrants. (Thank you to our shy, retiring friend at the Department of Interior who informed us of this program but did not want to be mentioned. If you know of programs or content worth sharing, please inform us.)
