The National Institute of Building Sciences’ “Digital Twins for the Built Environment: A Position Paper on Integrating BIM and Digital Twins” is also an Asset Management paper on many levels. It is aimed at decision-making leaders with strategic intention. It helps to break down silos between disciplines. It intends to accelerate industry-wide improvements. And it is based on standards that come together to achieve mission success. Because Digital Twins include the Building Information Models and all of the assets inside the building models, this approach to organizational improvement supports Asset Management on the highest levels possible.
