Jim Kennedy has over 50 years experience of maintenance and asset management in defense, aerospace, water, power and rail industries including 21 years Royal Australian Air Force followed by 35 years mostly in rail, finishing full time employment as Director Asset Management Improvement in RailCorp in 2009. Dorothy Robyn, ALN supporter and Senior Fellow, Innovation Technology and Innovation Foundation, Center for Clean Energy Innovation and Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability has published an essay on the DoD using renewable energy to improve national security, not feed bi-partisan bickering. Along with her long-time colleague, Jeffrey Marqusee, Senior Research Adviser, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Robyn clearly and concisely refutes any argument that clean energy is not a partisan ploy, but sound National Policy and a beneficial defense strategy. United Nations Senior Economic Affairs Officer/ DCF Team Leader guided the creation of the UN’s Managing Infrastructure Assets for Sustainable Development: A Handbook for Local and National Governments. Mr. Platz will have a web discussion on his background, the background of the Handbook, and how it has been implemented in many countries.
