Newsletter 28 February 2023

Asset management can be complex, messy, frustrating, and challenging – yet ultimately highly beneficial to an organization’s mission. The process of helping an organization improve with a structured approach to asset management is captured very well in proven ALN BIMStorm web-based workshops. A new session of interactive workshops starting again on March 1 at 4 pm Eastern. See more below in Sources and far below in Upcoming Events. Register at this link.

Jacobs: Challenging today.
Reinventing tomorrow.

People

Bob Kaehler wears many hats. He is a Senior Consultant with CGI. He is the National Property Management Association Vice President of Finance. And he is an ALN Board of Directors Member. It is appropriate that Mr. Kaehler informed us of the NPMA’s work to have the Registrar at National Day Calendar declare in 2016 that each March will be Asset Management Awareness Month. And March has been National Asset Management Awareness Month ever since. The NPMA has free web programs listed below. The ALN is starting its latest ALN BIMStorm on March 1st and all are encouraged to share the information below with their colleagues. Thank you Bob!

ALN BIMStorm – A Legacy

system

ALN Platinum Member ONUMA, Inc. started BIMStorms early in this century as online brainstorms using Building Information Models to let professionals practice working with new digital tools and the powerful business processes they enable. Now, BIM is better known as “Digital Twins” but the demonstration of the web tools and processes that BIMStorms allow people to learn about are still very powerful. See more about the legacy of the ALN and BIMStorms at this link. Learn more about the schedule starting March 1 at 4 pm Eastern further below.

Asset Management Awareness Month is intended to urge businesses and organizations to learn how improved asset and property management practices can contribute to the overall mission and revenue goals of their organization.  Asset Management Awareness Month is a perfect reminder for organizations to evaluate their asset management support. The month also encourages all organizations to consider the value of asset management.

NPMA invites all members of the asset management community to participate in and share free webinars, receive helpful tips, and gain the knowledge to spread awareness about the value of asset management throughout their organization.
