Working for IFMA (International Facilities Management Association) and as a consultant, she has led and supported numerous committees, work groups, and advisory groups of ISO TC 267 Facilities Management, including the development of the ISO 41001, the Management System Standard for Facilities Management. Laverne will be sharing thoughts on the standards development process, the intersections of ISO 41001 and ISO 55K, and perhaps the origin of her tag line “Passion: To bring value to every encounter.”

Cyber Security References

ALN Director, Technology, Nick Knoke, thought it would be a good idea to compile current cybersecurity articles, sources, and other content into an ongoing document as a resource for our organizational members and supporters. ALN Patron Member Kimon Onuma agreed and provided additional material to what Mr. Knoke found. The initial material is at this link. It includes a link to register for the grand opening of the American Cyber League Innovation & Technology Cyber Labs in Stafford, Va. on Sept 23. Please send your favorite and most useful cybersecurity references to and we will keep an updated version on our web site.

Mr. Hortensius lists the key factors for successful implementation of at management system standard – such as ISO 55000.
